40M Feadship refit project

I was contacted by the selling broker as the new captain had left the vessel after only being on board for 5 days. The vessel had just been sold to the new owners and it was currently in Palumbo Shipyard Malta where it was undergoing a number of different work items. The new owners were due for their maiden cruise in 3 weeks so the following was completed in that time:-

  • Marpol policy implementation
  • Lloyds 5 year survey completion
  • Renaming and reflagging yacht after sale completion
  • New antifoul after blasting back to bare metal
  • Shafts and propellers pulled and realigned
  • Repair and service of Heinen & Hopman air conditioning plant
  • Repair of Akerboom side passarelle

During the period from April 1 until the end of June the following extra work was completed whilst also acting as temporary captain until a full time captain was found:-

  • Rebuild and re-tested Van Driel crane
  • Repair of watermaker
  • Liaised with Feadship to obtain missing documents and drawings
  • Interior and exterior upholstery, furnishing replacement
  • Covers and awning altered and repaired
  • Replacing portions of the entertainment system including the satellite TV system and the repair of the Crestron system
  • IT upgrades for internet connectivity
  • Manage the refit of interior main deck, top deck and guest bedrooms by working with the interior design company
  • Main electrical switchboard repair
  • Mini ISM implemented
  • Implementation of preventative maintenance schedule
  • Full accounting services provided
